UTD/Rotary Research Innovation 1st Wednesday Series - November 6

Please join us for the second presentation in the Research Innovation 1st Wednesday Series at UT Dallas. Attendees will learn more about research that takes place at UTD as prominent researchers showcase their science and areas of expertise.

Our November 6 Speaker: Dr. Kianoosh Yousefi of the Flow Dynamics and Turbulence Laborator, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The FDT research agenda is focused on studying turbulent air-sea interaction processes, including surface waves and the accompanying generation of turbulence, spray, bubbles, airflow separation and breaking waves.

As the Director of Communications, Alex Johnson oversees all aspects of communications and public education for NTMWD, including managing the district's communication strategy, engaging public education for water conservation and promoting the district's operations, programs, and projects. 

Experience & Background

Alex joined NTMWD in October 2023. Prior to joining the NTMWD team, Alex served as Director of External Communications for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. During his 18 years at the Dallas Fed, Alex served in a variety of roles focused on strategic communications, media relations and public education.
